Ethiopian Society of Electrical Engineers (ESEE)

The Ethiopian Society of Electrical Engineers (ESEE) is a non-profit, voluntary professional association that was established 25 years ago to promote professional practices in electrical engineering. The association focuses on power, communication, control, electronics, and computer engineering applications as well as on the advancement of electrical engineering technology at large, including quality engineering education. The members are composed of university teachers and lecturers, engineers working in governmental and non-governmental organizations, research and development institutions, as well as in private organizations and industrial establishments. ESEE has over 600 registered members who volunteer to contribute to their professional development and engineering excellence. It should be noted that members are human capital that can be used for professional development and capacity growth.

  • Advance and promote electrical, electronics, control, communication, and related engineering professionals and enhance their contribution in all-round development activities in the country.
  • Provide quality in electrical engineering education, training, research, and development activities in the country and strive to be accredited to international standards.
  • Participate in and contribute to the development of policies and standards related to the profession issued by pertinent governmental organizations from time to time.
